Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and P-DOCS covering your use of the P-DOCS website at pdocs.in, the P-DOCS iPhone app and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA and UK) and able to form a binding contract where you live. If you use the Service on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have their permission.

3. The Service

P-DOCS organizes documents stored in your own Google Drive: it creates a folder structure, uploads and previews files, tracks dates you enter or that it detects, sends reminders you enable, lets you group documents into collections and share them, and — in the iPhone app — can keep copies available offline.

Features may change, be added or be removed over time. We may introduce paid features in the future; we will tell you before charging you anything.

4. Not legal, immigration or financial advice

P-DOCS is an organizational tool. It does not verify documents, does not provide legal, immigration, tax or financial advice, and is not affiliated with any government agency. Automatic date detection and reminders are conveniences and can be wrong or late — always check official documents and deadlines yourself. You are responsible for meeting any legal or filing deadline.

5. Your account

You sign in with Google. Keep your Google account and devices secure — you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@backuplan.in if you suspect unauthorized access.

6. Your content

You keep all ownership of your documents and the information you enter. Your files live in your Google Drive and are also governed by Google’s terms. You grant P-DOCS only the limited permission needed to store, process and display your information to provide the Service to you, and to share it where you ask us to.

You confirm you have the right to upload and store the documents you add, and that doing so does not break any law.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent, or to store or share forged or stolen documents;
• upload malware or try to break, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the Service;
• access other users’ data or bypass security or usage limits;
• resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

8. Sharing

When you share a file or create a share link, anyone who receives it may be able to view the document. You are responsible for who you share with. You can revoke share links at any time from the Shared page.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Google (sign-in and Drive), Apple (iOS features) and our infrastructure providers. Their services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or actions.

10. Intellectual property

The P-DOCS name, logo, design and software belong to P-DOCS and are protected by law. These Terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service; they do not transfer any ownership to you.

11. Termination

You can stop using P-DOCS and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if required by law. Your files remain in your Google Drive either way.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders or date detection will always be accurate.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, P-DOCS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, missed deadlines, visa or immigration outcomes, or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

14. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold P-DOCS harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of anyone else’s rights.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which P-DOCS is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence gives you mandatory consumer protections. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.

16. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and P-DOCS, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance and is not responsible for any claims relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You also agree to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For significant changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
